Coors Brewing: Adolph Coors opened The Golden Brewery in Golden Colorado in 1873. Today it is the largest single site brewery in the world.
Spoetzel Brewery: In 1909 German & Czech immigrants settled in Shiner, Texas and formed the Shiner Brewery Association, they recruited Kosmos Spoetzel in 1914. Shiner Bock was introduced in 1913.
Lone Star Brewing: Founded by Adolphus Busch in 1884. Lone Star Brewery was built in 1904 in San Antonio, Texas. The first Lone Star Beer was produced in 1940 and the National Beer of Texas was born!
St. Arnold Brewery: Est. in 1994 in Houston, Texas, microbrewery
Boston Beer Company: Sam Adams Boston Lager made its debut in April 1985 in 25 Boston bars by Jim Koch using great great grandfather’s recipes used in his St. Louis brewery in the 1870s.
Corona: First brewed in 1925 by Cerveceria Modelo, Mexico on the 10th anniversary of the brewery. Corona Extra is the top selling beer in Mexico and #1 imported beer in USA.
Dos Equis: Originally brewed in 1897 by German Willhelm Hasse and called "Siglo XX" (20th Century), First exported to the USA in 1973. Dos Equis = two X’s.
Pabst Brewing: German immigrant Jacob Best est. in 1844 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Capt. Pabst takes partnership in 1863. Starts hand tying blue ribbons on bottles in 1882.
Pearl Brewery: Est. in 1883 in San Antonio, Texas. Beer was formulated in Bremen, Germany by Kaiser Beck Brewing, first American Pearl was sold in 1886. Now brewed in Fort Worth, Texas.
Blue Moon Brewing: Started brewing unfiltered Belgian style wheat ale in 1995 in Denver, Colorado.
New Belgium Brewing: Started brewing Fat Tire & Abbey Ale in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1991. Electrical Engineer inspired by trip to European villages.
Bass Brewer Limited: Est. by William Bass in 1777 at Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England. Red triangle logo was Britain’s first registered trademark.
Heineken: 22 yr old Gerard Adriaan Heineken purchased "The Haystack Brewery" in Amsterdam on February 15th 1864. Today it is the world’s most popular lager.
Guinness: Arthur Guinness signs a 9,000 year lease on a closed brewery in Dublin, Ireland in 1759. It cost him $147 down and $66 a year rent. Present day vat house was built in 1790’s. In 1834 stoneware was replaced with glass bottles.
Henry Weinhard’s: Founded by German immigrant in 1856 near Fort Vancouver in Oregon Territory.
